Week Review

Last week was particularly long, maybe because now I'm on vacation! This week I will spend a lot of time relaxing.

First of all, I stayed alone in the agency for two days. It was a nice experience. I discovered also that some of my damaged flowers re-bloomed again!

Then, on Saturday we organized a barbeque with some friends and my niece. We had a lot of fun. We ate and we played some board games. The house of our friend where we had the barbeque, has a very large garden, with also animals. There were five tortoises, two gods, a pony, and some chickens. The two dogs were so sweet and cute!

On Saturday morning I baked some pancakes for me and my boyfriend and then I baked my favorite cake for the afternoon. In the evening, I took a long bath, reading a book on my kindle, and listening to music.

Have a nice new week.

Book Review: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (English Edition) eBook: Rowling, J.K.: Amazon.it: Kindle Store

In the second chapter of the Harry Potter's series, the protagonist comes back to Hogwarts with his two friends and they descover that into the school exists a chamber of secrets, created by one of the founders of the school. Into the chamber, a monster had been locked inside the chamber and in this year someone opened it, freeing the monster who wants to kill anyone isn't a pure blood wizard.

Comparing the film and the book, the second one is absolutely better! Reading the book, I noticed that the movie forgot something I think it's important. In general, I always found boring the second film, but I found the book as interesting as the other books!

And you? What do you think about HP and the Chamber of Secrets? Do you prefer the book or the movie? Let me know in the comments.

Sunday Review

Hello readers!
Last week was so hot! But it's summer, so it's good as it is.

During my daily wolk, I sow many beautiful things.

A lot of white and grey herons. They are so elegant. I was able to take only one picture. Let's find it!
All along the way I usually walk, I saw also flowers and fruits. In front of my house, there is a nice old man that has a little vegetable garden where I so some growing pumpkins. I think they will be very big in autumn.

The best thing that happened was that I received a bouquet from a friend. He wanted to thank me for the help I gave him some days ago.
How was your week? Something particular happened? Let me knoe in the comments!

Have a nice new week

Book Review: Harry Potter and Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (English Edition) eBook: Rowling, J.K.: Amazon.it: Kindle Store
I saw all the films of Harry Potter many times, but I've never read the books. So, during the quarantine, I took my kindle and I started to read the first book.

Harry Potter is a famous young wizard even if he doesn't know. At eleven years he starts to attend the Hogwarts School for wizards where he knows many pieces of information about his origins. During school he meets his two best friends, Hermione and Ron, and with them, Harry will have a lot of fun and problems.

I loved the books, more than the movie. Watching only the film, I never understood that Harry loves so much quidditch. I also loved the riddle of Professor Piton, that the movie completely removed.

Have you ever read the book? What do you think about both the film and the book? Let me know in the comments.

See you soon

Week Review

Welcome back, Readers!

Last week has gone very quickly. We had two days of very bad weather, with thunderstorms and a lot of rain and wind. Luckily, the weekend was hot and sunny.

On Friday night we met with three other friends for a game to a board game. It was fun and it was so nice to see friends after so much time we've never seen.

I've also seen a beautiful rainbow and a beautiful sunset.

Loving This Summer

Hello readers! How are you?

Summer is my favorite season. It's hot, it's sunny, it's colorful! I love all those flower, but I love more aromatic plants like basil, tyime, origan and so on.
In summer animals seem to be sweetier. My cat Yeti, for exemple, he loves roll around the terrace, under the sunlight, but when the weather is too hot, Yeti prefers to stay inside, outstretched on the airiest windowsill of the house. My dad sometimes lets free his turtle and she's so sweet.
This summer I discovered also some delicious lemonades in the bar next to the estate agency where I work. My favorite is the lemon, ginger and honey lemonade.
With my boyfriend we didn't go anywhere yet, maybe next month we will go somewhere with friends.

Do you have any programs for this summer? What are you projecting to do? Let me know in the comments.

Have a nice weekend.

Netflix series review: The Alienist

Hello readers! I'm here again with a new review.

I saw "The Alienist" during the quarantine. I found it quite soft, but really interesting.

It tells about a psychologist, one of the first during the last ten years of 1800. He would study better the mind of people and he wants to help children who have some psychological problems. There's also his best friend, that is a very good photographer. The two works secretly to a police murder case to find out who is really guilty. The corpse is found on a small bridge, mutilated. After the first corpse, others are found all around the little Neighborhood. The psychologist and the photographer find a very valid help from the only one woman who's working in the police station.

The atmosphere of the series is quite dark and there are also some good plot twists. I found it a good series to watch during quarantine because it talks about innovation. The psychologist is trying to convince other people that the brain is the most complicated organ of our body and that the methods used until that moment to heal mad people are completely wrong. The female presence in the police station is a very rare case for those years, in fact, her presence isn't well seen from most of the policemen.

A few days ago came out the 2nd series here in Italy, so...I know what I can watch this weekend.

What do you think about the 1st series? Did you like it? Let me know in the comments!

Have a nice day!

Anime Review: Beastars

Carnivores and herbivores try to live together peacefully, but the instinct can't be ignored so easily. Everything starts with the assassination of a student. Anyone know who could be the murderer. Then a wolf student loses his mind and tries to eat a young bunny girl, but he stops just in time and doesn't eat her. After that event, he realizes that he has fallen in love with the young bunny girl.

The anime is a Netflix original production and I really loved it. "thanks" to the quarantine, I watched it only in one day, and now I'm waiting for the second season. It's a shojo (anime for girls) and it has a simple story with no particular plot twists.

Have you seen it? What do you think about it? Let me know in the comments!

Have a nice day.

Film review: A quiet place

During the first three months of the year 2020, a large part of the human and animal population was decimated by blinded alien creatures with an extremely sensitive hearing. The creatures kill everything is doing any kind of noise. One day. the protagonists were stocking food and the younger son was killed by a creature. One year later, the mother is pregnant and near the precious day and the creatures are near to find and kill the family.

For more than half of the film, the characters don't say anything without the sign language. The silence is very deep, except for the soundtrack.
I found the film nice but it seemed it could be better. Maybe we'll see something better in the second part.

Have you seen it? Did you like it? What do you think about it?

My favorite photographic subject

This morning I went out, in my garden, cutting out some bad grass. I needed to escape a little bit from the inside of my home. I can't go anywhere I want because of the quarantine, but I can go out in my garden, at least.

While I was out there was a very good temperature and when I came back I opened the door of the terrace and my little cat was really happy about that. He went out and rolled himself on the ground watching us with very happy eyes.

For the rest of the day, we stayed inside. Our cat slept relaxed for all the afternoon and I stayed in front of my computer on YouTube.

Good night everybody.

Back again!

I'm back again! Last year was terribly stressful, now it seems it's going all better. I found the job I was looking for since when I finished high school. But I have to wait for the quarantine then I will start the new job.

For now, I will appreciate these forced vacations and I will use this opportunity for giving vent to my passions. Yesterday was the day of cooking. For lunch, we prepared (me and my boyfriend) hot dogs with bratwurst and onion rings and we really loved them.
Later in the afternoon, I baked a triptyque cheesecake. I found the recipe in a book I bought many years ago and I decided to bake it for reaching my biggest goal: to leave my old stressful job. It has been a difficult goal for me, but I was able to reach it thanks also to a big rate of luke. So, I have to celebrate it! I ate the cheesecake this morning for breakfast and I really loved it.
What about you? Are you closed at home too? Feel free to let me know in the comments!

Have a nice day!
